Front covers

The name of the magazine is Q. The masthead for is Q because the Q is bold and it is the first place your eye is drawn to.  The   letter Q is white and the background behind the Q is red. This magazine issue of the magazine you will find in the bar code, which is March 2010. The price of the magazine is £3.95. This magazine issue contains loads of cover lines. Cover lines means the information the magazine contains inside.  The cover lines are world exclusive Gorillaz, Wayne Rooney and cocaine break. The exclusive the magazine contain is the world exclusive Gorillaz. The magazine has a strapline because you have a heading appearing above the master heading.  The UK’s biggest music magazine. The layout of the magazine page- you have the Q heading in the left hand Conner of the magazine. The front cover contains loads of animation pictures. In the wave of the magazine it has well faces inside the wave. The magazine has used graphics on the front cover to create an animated front cover. The wave with faces on the front of the cover contains pictures of famous faces. The magazine has colourful blue background. The background for the magazine has used the colour to create a picture of the wave and the sea. You also have blue sky with grey cloud this is used to create the imagery of a stormy day at sea.  The cartoon characters on the front of the magazine are used to attract the audience into the magazine.

The name of the   magazine is Vibe. The issue of the magazine Oct/ Nov 10 and the price is £3.95. The masthead is Vibe and the colour for the heading is black to make the heading stand out from the rest of the magazine. The heading is put onto a blue background to keep the title standing out from the rest of the magazine. You have a byline of famous names at the top of the heading, these are in yellow. This is so that the reader will notice the byline and read it. Behind the picture of the person on the front cover you have a USA aeroplane. The aeroplane is their in the background to symbolise the army.  You have the USA written on the aeroplane so that you know the person comes from the USA. The music famous person on the front is Usher he is dressed in army uniform. The aeroplane is in the background because it is their to look like Usher has been in the aeroplane.  The aeroplane is in the background to syblomise the new music video that he has created for his new song. You have an exclusive interview with Usher. “There is no competition.”  

The name of the magazine is the source. The masthead for the magazine is also the source because it is in big bold letters in the colour red. This heading has been put in red colour to get the attention of the read that is going to read the magazine. The price for the magazine is £3.95 and the issue of the source is Aug/ Sep 10.This magazine also contains a website you could go to look at the magazine. This useful to the read because some people prefer to look at the information on a website.  The magazine contains a graphic picture of a badge. The badge in the middle is used to represent the more people doing Hip- Hop. The badge in the middle is used to show that Hip- Hop is taking over because more people like listening to it. The background colour for the magazine is black  because the  magazine uses a dark background colour  so that it can uses bright colour headings and can put photo’s on top of the colour.  The photographs of the people that have been used on the front cover are of people who do hip –Hop music. You have seven different Hip –Hop artistes on the front of the magazine. The photos contain the name of the group or the person to do with Hip- Hop.; this is called a Byline because it is underneath the photograph. The front cover contains a cover line on the front cover to get the person interested in the magazine to what to find out the answer to the question. “And the next 5-MIc Album goes to”.   The photo’s are all around the outside of the cover, so that the badge on the centre of the magazine. The magazines does contain cover lines, the cover lines are at the  bottom of the page, so that you can see the cover lines but the lines are not in the way of the photo’s.  The front cover contains those photographs to answer a question that has not been answered in any other magazine.
