Photo shoot planning
My photo's for my music magazine are going to based on a Pop girl band. The people who I am going to use for my photo shoot are Zoe, Jade, Sarah and Chrissies. I am going to take a lot of photographs this way I will have a lot of photographs to choose from and I will be able to use some photos on the front cover of my magazine and some photo’s on my double page spread.
Where I am I going to take my Photographs?
I am going to place the girls for a few photographs in front of a brick wall, outside, I will try and take this photograph when the sky is nice and bright because I don’t want my photographs to have a dull background. For one photograph I will get them to listen to their IPod or play with their mobile phone. Take a photograph of the girls walking in a street. A photograph of the girls sitting around a table talking . Also I might take some photographs of the girls on their own and with another member of the group.
I am going to take the photographs tomorrow.

Font
These are the fonts that I have decided that I might use for my music magazine. For the decision on what fonts I should post on my blog was a hard decision to decided which fonts would be good to use on my music magazine. I made the decision to go for a variety of fonts that would be different from the fonts that I have seen in other magazines. I wanted to make sure that I had black fonts, white fonts and different styles of black fonts. The fonts that I have choosen are really girl fonts because I have tryed to fined the fonts that would be used for the target audience that I am doing.

Weekly Review
This week I have been textual analysis of three front covers, two contents pages and one double page spread. The textual I think has go really well because I found analysis the different covers very different from each other, because every front cover that I looked at had a different style of representing a music magazine. Every front cover had a way of getting the person looking at the magazine to want to read the magazine the two contents pages that I look at had both got a different way of writing what was on the pages. The double page spread that I did was interesting double page spread because it had photographs on the one side and then a small article. I found that doing the textual analysis for a music magazine was quite different from the textual analysis for a student magazine.
Textual analysis ( 1 double page spread)
1 double page spread
The name of the magazine that I am textual analysis for double page spread is the Kerrang. The heading for the spread has a red background strip; the writing for the heading is in white capital letters. The letters are bold; this is that the heading comes out of the page to the reader. You then have a by-line underneath the heading this has a white background and black small capital letters. “Fall out boy enjoy a whirlwind trip to the UK .” The double page spread contains photographs of the boy band going about their normal average day. Each photograph contains small information about what the boys are doing in the photograph. The one side of the double page spread has loads of photographs and these photographs are all linked together leaving no gaps. The double page spread is only about the boy band fall out spending some time in the UK doing a tour. The other page on the double page spread has a few photographs of the boy band and then a small article about what the boy band have been up to and what the tour has been like. The double page spread tells fans of the boy band what they have been up to and what life is like for them. It also tells fans when the boy band will be coming back to the UK for a tour.
Tetual analysis (contents pages)
Content pages
The name of the magazine is Kerrang. The contents page has a column of writing, which contains the page numbers. You have a heading for each section; the person would know it is a new heading because the heading is in red. The headings are also in capital letters. For example, feedback and Rated: Albums. The contents page tells the reader the magazine is weekly because it says this week. The information the magazine has is black writing because the reader needs to be able to understand what the heading is and what the information is. The contents page contains some information about the editor of the magazine. The magazine has a main picture of a girl; the picture is in the middle of the page. The picture is in black and white to create a different effect. You then have three small pictures in colour across the top of the page.
The name of the magazine is Q, it is issue March 2010/the contents page has the page number of the article/ section you are looking for. It has the heading of the article and then it has a little caption underneath the heading to tell the read what the article is going to be about. “The three ladies who make up the group this week explain who the hell…. They are.” The content page like the front cover also has animation on it. The animation I feel for this content page was used to create the reader a funny picture to look at. The page contains photographs for a preview of what the magazine contains on those pages. The magazine contains a review of a band and what the band is like to listen to. The content s page contains lots of photographs to keep the page interesting to the read as it is the first page of the magazine.
